16/12/25It’s VS Associates’ 10-year anniversary!

Today marks a very special day that I still find hard to believe – it’s been 10 years since I launched VS Associates.
When I first sat down at the kitchen table a decade ago and thought about what the future might look like, my dream was to build something small, personal, and genuinely helpful.
I hoped that one day, my wife, Tina, and I would be able to help our clients achieve their own dreams while enjoying the work-life balance we’d always talked about.
Now, 10 years on, I’m relieved that the support you’ve given us has meant I achieved that ambition, and, more importantly, has allowed me to build a business that supports you.
We’ve gone from a handful of clients to a thriving practice
When I first started VS Associates, I had a small group of clients who trusted my vision enough to follow me. This early support was crucial.
Today, we have more than 100 clients under our care. I see many of you regularly, while others get in touch when something big happens and they need a sounding board.
Regardless of how much I communicate with you, the fact that you continue choosing to work with me is something I’ll never take for granted.
My family has helped VS Associates grow
Many of you will likely know that VS Associates is a double act, as Tina has been there with me from the very start.
She looks after the admin behind the scenes, making sure the business functions.
We always hoped we’d one day reach a point where we could work together and still enjoy the life we wanted.
A decade later, we’ve managed to achieve exactly what we imagined, and it’s one of the things we’re proudest of.
And, of course, when we started the firm, our son, Noah, was only four.

Now, he’s 14, and we’ve had the immense privilege of watching him grow up alongside the business.

Looking back on these 10 years of family milestones, as well as what we’ve achieved as a business, makes this anniversary feel even more special.
What these 10 years really mean, and looking ahead to the next decade
This message isn’t about the fanfare, and no chocolates are coming in the post (while I did consider it, the realities of allergies made me change my mind).
Instead, this is simply a genuine thank you. You’ve referred friends, shared our name with family members, and trusted me with your financial decisions.
This has helped us build something that once only existed on a mood board.
So much has changed over the past 10 years (except my hairline, which you can see in the image below). And, looking forward to the next decade, I’m sure a lot will change, too.

However, the thing that won’t change is that we will continue to make your financial planning feel personal, and we will be here when you need us.
So, from both of us, thank you for sticking with us and helping VS Associates reach the heights we have.
